Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were the big winners in the music categories of the People’s Choice Awards. Dozens of awards are handed out as part of the annual show, hosted this year by Joel McHale.
Spears won for Favorite Female Artist as well as favorite Pop Artist. She also won twice in the Digital categories, as Favorite Social Media Celebrity and Favorite Comedic Collaboration for her “Mall Mischief” with Ellen DeGeneres.
JT was named Favorite Male Artist and his smash hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling” won as Favorite Song.
Fifth Harmony was named Favorite Group and the Pop group made their first appearance as a quartet, following the exit of Camila Cabello. The foursome sang their hit “Work from Home” before receiving the award. This was their second year in a row winning Favorite Group.
Other notable music award winners included Niall Horan as Favorite Breakout Artist, G-Eazy as Favorite Hip-Hop Artist and Rihanna as Favorite R&B Artist. Blake Shelton also won twice, once as Favorite Male Country Artist and once for If I’m Honest as Favorite Album.
