The Chainsmokers will release a new EP, titled Collage, on November 4. The EP will include their current #1 hit “Closer” featuring Halsey with a new track “Setting Fires” featuring XYLØ. TheCollage EP also compiles the smash “Don’t Let Me Down” featuring Daya along with “Inside Out” featuring Charlee and “All We Know” featuring Phoebe Ryan. Drake has announced a new musical project, titled More Life. On his OVO Sound radio show, he debuted three new songs titled “Two Birds, One Stone,” “Sneakin'” featuring 21 Savage and “Fake Love.” Also on Instagram, he revealed the artwork and said More Life is due in December, though it is described as a “project” and not an album per se. Today is also the music superstar’s 30th birthday.

The first posthumous Prince releases have been announced, as Warner Bros. will put out a remastered deluxe edition of Purple Rain in 2017. The Purple Rain reissue will include a second disc of previously unreleased material and according to the label, is being released as per arrrangements the musical icon agreed to before his passing.

Sting will be given the American Music Award of Merit at the 2016 American Music Awards. He will also perform a medley of his songs as part of the AMAs. According to Billboard, the American Music Award of Merit has not been given out since 2008, when Annie Lennox was honored with it. The AMAs will be handed out on November 20 in Los Angeles.

Charlie Puth has cancelled the rest of his fall tour, saying on Instagram that he has been “extremely sick.” The singer wrote, “This is the last thing I want because I love being on the road and performing and meeting every one of you. You are the reason I can do what I love most for a living and I am so thankful. I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven’t taken the time my body needs to recover.” Puth’s Don’t Talk tour had been scheduled to run up to November 8.

The Decemberists will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album The Crane Wife with a deluxe reissue. The album has been remastered and will be issued in a 5 LP and 1 Blu-ray box set. The vinyl records inlcude B-sides, outtakes and demos. A live concert from Washington, DC recorded in October 2006 will appear on the Blu-ray. A large booklet will accompany the box set, with a forward written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Peter Burns, singer for the New Wave band Dead or Alive, has passed away at the age of 57. The group was best known for their hit “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” Burns’ management released a statement saying his death was due to cardiac arrest.
