Halsey will perform at the 23rd Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 in Oslo, Norway. The singer will perform alongside a number of other artists at the concert. “Through her music, [Halsey] will be helping share the message of peace to a global audience,” Norwegian Nobel Institute director Olav Njølstad told Billboard. “Not only will those in attendance be able to watch an electrifying performance, but fans across the world will be able to stream the special event on YouTube.”
Jay Z has signed a TV and film deal with The Weinstein Co. for any future projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hip-hop mogul has a two-year “first look” agreement with the Weinsteins for the production of scripted and unscripted television and film projects. “I’m excited to tell stories from real-life prophets who, through their struggles, have changed the world for the better and others whose stories are filled with fantasy and delight,” said Jay Z in a statement. “Harvey and David [Weinstein] are visionaries, both of whom have done this time and time again. I’m already passionate about what we currently have in the pipeline, and I’m looking forward to discovering others.” Some projects under this deal are already in development and will be announced in the near future.
Sia will release an expanded deluxe edition of her album This Is Acting, featuring seven extra tracks. Two of the songs have already been released: “The Greatest,” which features Kendrick Lamar, and the Sean Paul version of her smash hit “Cheap Thrills.” The deluxe This Is Acting also includes two remixes and three previously unheard tracks and will be released on October 21.
The lineups have been announced for Lollapalooza‘s South American festivals in Argentina, Brazil and Chile. Lollapalooza Argentina (March 31-April 1, 2017), Lollapalooza Brazil (March 25-26) and Lollapalooza (April 1-2) are all topped by Metallica, The Strokes, The Weeknd and The Chainsmokers, with a number of other acts all on the bill.
