Artists have been announced for the upcoming Prince tribute concert officially approved by the late musician’s family. The show will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN on October 13. The lineup includes Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer, Tori Kelly, Morris Day & the Time, the New Power Generation and many more.
Coldplay will release a special 5.1 Surround Sound version of their acclaimed A Head Full Of Dreams album on September 23 via Parlophone/Atlantic Records. Rik Simpson, the album’s co-producer and co-mixer, said, “The album was always conceived by the band as a dreamlike, kaleidoscopic sweep of music, so it was fantastic to be able to take it to its furthest conclusion with a trip into a surround-sound dreamscape.”
The trailer for the film featuring Billie Joe Armstrong‘s first starring role has dropped. Ordinary World is about a washed-up punk singer (played by Armstrong) dealing with life after his music career. Green Day recorded a song for the movie, also called “Ordinary World,” which appears on their upcoming album Revolution Radio. Ordinary World will be released in theaters, digital HD and On Demand on October 14, one week after Revolution Radio.
