Kanye West will headline the first-ever ComplexCon event in Long Beach this November. ComplexCon is both a music festival and a conference for hip-hop. Other artists on the bill include Skrillex, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Chief Keef and many more. ComplexCon runs November from 5-6.
Bruce Springsteen has announced a book tour in support of his upcoming autobiography Born to Run. The Boss will visit nine cities in late September and early October to promote his book and all events include a pre-signed copy of the book. Born to Run will be released September 27, which is the first date of Springsteen’s book tour. Unsurprisingly it kicks off in Freehold, New Jersey.
In related news, Springsteen will appear at the the 10th annual Stand Up for Heroes event, set for Madison Square Garden on November 1. He has been a part of each event since 2009 and will be joined by Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart and Louis C.K., among other performers.
David Bowie‘s final recordings will be released as part of the soundtrack to the late music icon’s musical Lazarus. The cast album for Lazarus is due out October 21 and three Bowie tracks that were recording at the end of his life will appear on a second disc, along with the title track. “No Plan,” “Killing a Little Time” and “When I Met You” were all recorded with his backing band for his last album Blackstar.
