Rapper Travis Scott debuts at #1 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart with Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. According to Nielsen Music, Scott’s new release earned 88,000 equivalent album units, 53,000 of which were in traditional album sales. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is currently exclusive to Apple Music and the iTunes Store and Billboard notes that it is the fifth Apple-exclusive album to debut at #1 this year. Scott’s 2015 album Rodeo peaked at #3 on the chart.Coming in at #2 is veteran rock band A Day to Remember, hitting their highest chart position ever with Bad Vibrations. The group’s sixth record earned 67,000 units, 62,000 of which were in pure album sales.
The rest of the top ten is made up of familiar names, with Drake‘s Views at #3, the Suicide Squad soundtrack at #4 and Florida Georgia Line landing at #5. They are followed by Barbara Streisand (#6), Twenty One Pilots (#7), Rihanna (#8), Beyoncé (#9) and Frank Ocean (#10).
