Nominees for the 2020 American Music Awards were unveiled this morning on Good Morning America by Dua Lipa. This year’s nods are led by The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch, with eight each. Both are up for Artist of the Year, alongside Justin Bieber, Post Malone and Taylor Swift. First-time nominee Megan Thee Stallion is the most-nominated female artist this year with five in total, including New Artist of the Year, as well as the second-most nominated artist overall.

Last year, Swift broke the record for the most AMA wins ever and she has a chance to extend her total with four more nods this year. She already has the most wins for Artist of the Year, with five, and Billboard notes she could also become the first five-time winner for Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock. Swift is currently tied in that category with Whitney Houston and Olivia Newton-John.

Several new categories were added to this year’s AMAs, with changes in the rap, hip hop and Latin categories.

The awards show is set for November 22 on ABC, though it is unknown yet how the broadcast will look due to the coronavirus pandemic. Dua Lipa has also been announced as the first performer for the show. For a complete list of nominees, visit theamas.com. Fans can vote on their favorites at www.theamas.com/vote and via Twitter.
