This Friday, May 29, Boston punks Dropkick Murphys will play an empty Fenway Park for a streaming benefit concert, with a promised appearance from Bruce Springsteen. Calling it “Streaming Outta Fenway,” the band promises a fully plugged-in performance at the home of the Red Sox. In an Instagram announcement of the show, they add that “To make sure this is a night to remember, our friend BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN will be joining us remotely for a FENWAY DOUBLE PLAY…. We’ll play together – one of ours + one of his.”
The Dropkicks add that “no band has ever played a full show in an empty sports stadium.” The concert will stream free, starting at 6 pm ET, and is a benefit to raise funds for Boston Resiliency Fund, Habitat For Humanity and Feeding America. You can watch it via their YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Twitch pages.
