Alex Mac
iHeartMedia announced today that Alex Mac has been named Assistant Program Director for Modern Rock KDXA ALT 106.3, Des Moines’ Alternative Rock. As APD, Mac will be responsible for the station’s music and programming content, as well as its on-air personalities and digital extensions. He will also continue to serve as MD as well as Afternoon Drive Host.
Mac will report to Dustin “Fletcher” Matthews, Director of Alternative Rock Programming for iHeartMedia-St. Louis and Greg Chance, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia-Des Moines.
“Alex has a bright programming future and has displayed all the characteristics of a great programmer,” said Chance. “We are excited to see him further develop his career.”
Prior to joining the iHeartMedia-Des Moines market in October 2017, Mac served as evening host and promotions assistant for Modern Rock WRXL/Richmond, Virginia, also where he began his career.
“I’m incredibly lucky to work with and learn from Dustin ‘Fletcher’ Matthews, Greg Chance, and the talented team here at ALT 106.3,” said Mac. “I look forward to growing the brand in my new role here in Des Moines!”
