Nevada Public Radio’s non-comm Triple A KVNV (NV89)/Reno) has announced on air and day-to-day management at the station in the wake of Willobee Carlan’s departure.
Malayna Joy will serve as Operations/Program Manager. She joined NV89 at the launch in April 2017. Prior to that Malayna was heard at KTHX/Reno and had TV reporter roles at KRNV and KTVN. In addition, Gia De Santis who has also been with the station since its launch, is named Music Director. De Santis is the creator of Cocktails in the Kiddie Pool and spent time at KROQ/Los Angeles. David Hadel will add middays to his on-air duties and Jake Wagner continues as evening host and producer of The Evening News fresh tracks show.
