Drake and Alessia Cara lead the pack in this year’s MuchMusic Video Award nominees. The nods for the Canadian music channel were announced today, with Drake and Cara earning seven each. The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes are right behind them with six nominations each. The awards show will air on June 19.

The opening acts for Guns N’ Roses’ upcoming summer stadium tour have been revealed. Alice In Chains will open the first five dates of the tour, including GNR’s two-night stand at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 1 and 3. Lenny Kravitz will open four shows in July: two at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA and two at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Openers for the rest of the tour have yet to be revealed.

Rage Against The Machine is counting down to some sort of announcement on June 1. A new website, prophetsofrage.com, along with the hashtag #takethepowerback, were both tweeted out on Tuesday. The same artwork, URL and hashtags have appeared on posters around Los Angeles as well. “Prophets of Rage” is the title of a Public Enemy song, while “Take The Power Back” is a song from Rage’s first record. Speculation is that the two acts will be touring together, though Rage haven’t played live since 2011.

The details of the two annual Riot Fests in Chicago and Denver have been announced. Riot Fest in Denver runs from September 2-4 and features the reunited Misfits featuring Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only together again, along with Death Cab for Cutie, Jane’s Addiction, Sleater-Kinney, Deftones, Fitz & The Tantrums and many, many more. The Chicago edition of Riot Fest takes place September 16-18 with the Misfits, Morrissey, Death Cab, Rob Zombie, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Deftones, Fitz & The Tantrums and others. Both festivals will reveal more acts on the lineup in the near future.
