If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have one album, one movie and one book, what would they be?

Joey Brooks, WHYI/WMIA: Foo Fighters In Your Honor (double album so more tunes), Caddyshack and The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton.

Matt Johnson, KSLZ: Foo Fighters Wasting Light; The Departed; A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.

Jon Zellner. iHeartMedia: Michael Jackson’s Thriller; That Thing You Do with Tom Hanks; The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud.

Rick Vaughn, Power 94.9: Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon; The Natural; The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.

Valentine, WBHT: The album would be NOW, That’s What I Call Music Volume 66, so I could have all the big hits and the most variety. Movie would be The Notebook, so I could cry myself to sleep each night. The book would be How to Survive on a Deserted Island by Tim O’Shei.

David Dyer, WB Records: Wayne Shorter Speak No Evil; Charlie Wilson’s War; Zen & The Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. 

Mike McCoy, WNCI: The Bodeans Outside Looking In, love that album; I’d need two movies, That Thing You Do and Crazy Stupid Love; and The Bible, it’s certainly long enough.

Fish Boy, WKRZ: Michael Jackson Thriller; Animal House; and for the book, Stranded on an Island for Dummies.

Derrick “DC” Cole, WAEB: The 2017 classic, Jumanji! starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It’s filled with entertainment and laughs that never get old! There may also be hidden secrets during the movie to help me survive but probably not though.

Kobe, WWHT: Daft Punk Alive 2007; Private Parts; Crushing It by Gary Vaynerchuk.

 

Scot Finck, Hollywood Records: I have to have two for each or I’d refuse to be stranded (LOL). Marvin Gaye What’s Going On and Mark Knopfler Local Hero Soundtrack, both music of my soul. Cinema Paradiso and Caddyshack, get my cry and my laugh on. John Steinbeck East of Eden and Ayn Rand The Fountainhead, both epic novels.

Brian Michel, iHeartMedia / Atlanta: Steely Dan Aja; Miracle; A Guide For The Perplexed by Moses Maimonides.

Chris Michaels, FM100: My album would be Garth Brooks Greatest Hits for sure. The movie would be My Cousin Vinny, and How to Survive on A Deserted Island for the book.

Chris K, The End: Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair; Star Wars; The Bible.

Gina Gray, WERO: Fleetwood Mac Rumors. The movie would have to be a comedy if I was stuck on an island so any Will Ferrell movie will do whichever one drops from the sky and lands in my lap, and The Bible for the book.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: matchbox twenty Yourself or Someone Like You; Field of Dreams; George Orville’s 1984.
Jimmy Steal, Power 106: There’s a current album I’m listening to over and over again that I just love by a band from Liverpool named Anethma and they have a live album out called Universal. When I’m not listening to the radio, I’m listening to that album. The movie is easy it would be Goodfellas. The book would be The Master Switch: The Rise and Fall of Information Empires by Tim Wu. Some it’s dry, but very illuminating.
