Drake

Scorpion from Drake continues to dominate the Billboard 200 chart, where it remains at #1 for the third week in a row. The album earned 260,000 equivalent album units in the week, 29,000 were in traditional album sales. Thanks to its massive streaming numbers, Nielsen Music reports that Scorpion is the first release since Adele‘s 25 in 2015 to earn more than 260,000 units in its first three weeks each. The flip side of Drake’s streaming success is that Scorpion had the second smallest selling week for a #1 album, behind its own debut week. It sold more copies in its third week out because the album was released on CD.

The only new album to debut in the Top Ten this week comes from rapper Wiz Khalifa with Rolling Papers 2.

The rest of the Top Ten is made up of Post Malone (#3), XXXTentacion (#4), Cardi B (#5), Juice WRLD (#6), The Greatest Showman soundtrack (#7), Lil Baby (#8), Maroon 5 (#9) and Luke Combs (#10).
