Richard “Box” Bachschmidt
FMQB extends its condolences to the staff of WCOO/Charleston on the death of former Morning Host Richard Bachschmidt, known as “Box” who was found dead of an apparent suicide. A benefit is in the works to bring awareness to mental health and suicide prevention. Both on and off the air Richard openly discussed his own battles with depression. His candor empowered others to overcome the stigmas of this illness and ask for help.
