On Monday morning, Howard Stern made his return to SiriusXM after his summer hiatus and tackled all the recent rumors and headlines about the future of The Howard Stern Show. The show kicked off with Andy Cohen announcing that he was taking over the channel and rebranding it as Andy 100. Howard Stern came back on the air 15 minutes later announcing that it was a bit.
Howard kicked off the show around 7:15 am with his typical “hey now,” thanking Andy for his “little bit.” “Lest anyone think that was real, that was all masterminded by me,” Howard said.
Upon his return Howard and co-host Robin Quivers addressed the rumors about the future of the show. “Everything you’ve been reading in the paper about me or about Robin is completely false,” Howard Stern said.
Stern’s bottom line, “Everything you’ve been reading in the paper about me or about Robin is completely false.”
Howard on the future of his show: “SiriusXM and my team have been talking about how we go forward in the future, they’ve approached me. They’ve sat down with me like they normally do and they’re fantastic,” Stern said. “We’ve been talking.”
Howard on Alex Cooper: “Let me tell you how I feel about Alex Cooper, how I feel about any person who works on these channels, God bless them. If they can bring in a subscriber, it can only be good for me. I gotta make sure Alex Cooper, or any of them, Fritz the fucking cat, I don’t know, any of these guys Andy Cohen, Mad Dog, Stephen A. Smith, I only want them to do well.
Howard on not being on the air last week: “Last week I was all set to come on and I made the mistake of going out the last week of my vacation and actually interacting with people and I got so sick. I thought I had COVID, but I have a terrible, I don’t know what I have. I just thought it was a cold but this is the cold that won’t go away. Today, I am going to go to a doctor right after the show.”
