Tucson Mayor Regina Romero presented an official proclamation from the City of Tucson on June 21st honoring “Sunday Night Slow Jams,” the successful internationally syndicated radio show created in Tucson by on-air host and producer R Dub!. Mayor Romero officially proclaimed the day as “Slow Jams Day” in the City of Tucson. San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria also presented an official proclamation in June from the City of San Diego in honor of the show’s 30th Anniversary.

In the run-up to the 30th Anniversary, the program and its Tucson affiliate, KSZR (97.5 The Vibe), presented the “Sunday Night Slow Jams” 30th Anniversary Party and Concert on Friday, June 21st, at Desert Diamond Casino. R Dub! hosted the live event and concert, which featured live performances by musical guests Hi-Five and 112. The party included a 90-minute hang session with R Dub!, who took photos with listeners and told stories on stage recapping the last 30 years of Slow Jams.
