Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department made its historic debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It’s Swift’s 14th chart-topping album that ties her with Jay-Z for the most #1s by a solo artist. As a group, only The Beatles have more with 19.
The album launches with 2.61 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. Vinyl sales represented an eye-popping 859,000 with the 31-song deluxe edition generating 891.34 million on demand streams.
