Gorillaz will release their new album The Now Now a little over a year after their previous record, 2017’s Humanz. It arrives June 29 and will be supported by a brief tour of North America. Damon Albarn and his animated band will play a number of festivals in Europe all summer long, before a series of arena dates in Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston and Chicago. It will all wrap up with the second-ever Demon Dayz Festival, being held October 20 in Los Angeles.
Kanye West has released his new album, Ye, hours after a listening party for the record was held in Jackson Hole, WY. West flew a mix of celebrities, journalists, radio personalities and fellow artists to the vacation spot on Thursday night to hear Ye. The seven-song, 23-minute album arrived today via digital services and West has promised more music to come, as it follows last week’s Pusha-T release Daytona in a series of short albums from Kanye’s camp.
The massive lineup for the 2018 edition of Chicago’s Riot Fest has been revealed. Set for September 14-16 in the Windy City’s Douglas Park, it is topped by Beck, Blink-182, Elvis Costello, Interpol, Blondie, Incubus, Young the Giant and Alkaline Trio. The eclectic festival also includes Father John Misty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dropkick Murphys, Bleachers, Flogging Molly, Bad Religion and many, many more acts, including a surprise headliner to be announced.
