What is one thing you’ve tried that you will never do again?
(could be an activity, food, destination spot, etc.)

Buster, WIOQ: Getting my nipple pierced live on the air back in the day when I was in Fresno.

Rich Davis, KDWB
: When I was the night guy at B104 in Allentown, The Allentown Fair had a ride called the Sky-Coaster and it was a crazy horizontal free-fall ride. After doing that multiple years live on the air, I don’t think I’ll do that again. Like Miley says, “I Used To Be Young!”

Fish, WKRZ: I’ll never take a cruise to Bermuda again. It was awful, and so was the weather.

Randi West, WRMF: The Polar Plunge. While it raises lots of money for charity…Never again.

Lee Abrams, mediavisions: Drinking!

Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: Red Mountain Wine. My dorm roomie at UC Irvine freshman year and I were looking for some liquid courage before a night out and we split a gallon of that extra cheap wine. When we got back from our dorm crawl, our friends had taken the initiative to rearrange our room as bunkbeds next to the window. I said to my roomie, “Horn I’m not having you on top of me” Poor Horn was awakened from a wet dripping on his face at 2:30am after I got the spins and regurgitated the delicious Red Red Wine…ughh.

Jana Sutter, WXXL: Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot.

Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Gas station pizza slices…Never again!

Bob Patrick, WXLK: After Shock. It was Fireball way before Fireball was cool. It’s the type of drink I call a troublemaker. Meaning, it didn’t even taste like alcohol, so I keep throwing it down. Me and some buddies when all in, all night, back in the day. The next 2 days were horrific and, to this day, the mere thought of drinking that ever again makes my stomach hurt. The PTSD is real with that one.

Adam Rivers, WKCI / WKSS: An attempt to like another football team (Go Pats forever).

Toby Knapp, WASH: I went looking for diamonds at this state park in Arkansas once. All I found was mud and I got a sunburn. I won’t be going back… unless my SO twists my arm… in which case, I’ll do what the boss wants.

Java Joel, WHBC: I tried programming a radio station where I wasn’t trusted with handling the music decisions. I’d like to think I’d never do that again, but… Can’t be too picky these days. Mofo’s gotta eat.

Rick Vaughn, KENZ: When we moved to PPM in Philadelphia (Philly and Houston were the first PPM markets in 2007), I calculated my OES and decided to bump up my powers to 165x a week to see what happens. It was exhausting listening to the station, I wanted to kill myself. Personally, I’ll never try ice skating again either.

Matt Johnson, WPLW: Sea Urchin! You ever had Sea Urchin?!?  It’s definitely not for me!

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Fly Spirit airlines; Watch Game of Thrones with my kids; Ride a mechanical bull.

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Tequilla! It was several shots, and yes it did me in and I could not have it anymore!

Erik Bradley, B96: Calamari. I thought it was an onion ring = and never again!

Brian Check, iHeartMedia: Radio sales! I did it for eight years until I wised up and went into programming.

Jeff Hurley, iHeartMedia: Due to a scheduling conflict, I did a trip from Philly to Honolulu and back to Philly in 2 1/2 days. 12 hours to get there, one full day in Honolulu for meetings and then a 12-hour redeye back home. Next time I’m staying at least a couple days.

Bartel. WKTU: Going to an Eagles / Cowboy game in Dallas… never again!

Valentine, WBHT: I try not to ever say never. People change, situations change, opinions change. I like keeping an open mind.

Brian Mack, iHeartMedia: Try to be front row at Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona.

Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
If you were going to dress up for Halloween as any
Pop or Rock star, or movie character from any era, who would it be?
