Hearst Corporation Active Rock WIYY (98 ROCK)/Baltimore APD Dan McClintock will be leaving the station in June.
“Late last week, 98 ROCK Assistant Program Director Dan McClintock informed me that he and his wife, Nancy, have decided to move back to Pensacola, Florida this summer in order to be closer to family.” commented PD Rick Strauss. “Nancy is originally from Pensacola, and that is also where she and Dan met. Dan will still be with us over the coming months, giving us ample time to conduct an extensive search for his replacement. We will post the position this week.
McClintock added, “My time here at WIYY, (a two-time consecutive Marconi finalist for Rock station of the year) has been very rewarding. Special thanks to PD Rick Strauss, GM Dan Joerres and former GM Cary Pahigian for their support in creating one of the best teams in broadcasting!”
Prior to joining Hearst, McClintock spent 22 years at Cumulus as an OM/PD and Senior Rock Programmer in Kansas City (KCFX), Toledo (WXKR/WRWK) and Pensacola (WRRX-Rock 106). His tenure also included 7 seasons as the Programming coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network.
