Outside of radio, if you could create a business model to own and operate just for the pure joy of it, what would it be?
 Mark Adams, KYLD: I would open, The Mail Order Club of Unbearable Cuteness. ™ Here’s how it works: Sign up a friend or loved one, and every day, they’ll receive an ornate, teak chest festooned with streamers of silk, accented with stunning platinum fittings. Upon opening its ornamental lid, highlighted by their initials gilded in sterling silver, they’ll greeted by a cute mammal. Within a few days’ time, they’ll be enjoying the company of chipmunk, a baby raccoon, the delightful Virginian opossum, a bunny, a mouse, an Alpine Ibex, and many (many!) more to come. When you care enough to send an army of furry critters, think The Mail Order Club of Unbearable Cuteness. ™

Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ: A soup kitchen/homeless shelter for the homeless people in our area, and there are a lot of them in Wilkes-Barre. Derrick “DC” Cole, WAEB: I would have liked to create a company called Seven Bucks Productions! Oh, it’s already taken and founded by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? I’ll just go in with him on it. Frankie V, JAM’N 95.7: A business model to create own and operate would be the #VBROS lifestyle brand! Hats, vodka, clothing, and beyond!! Diddy did it with clothing and vodka, so I figure Mikey V and I can do it too 🙂

Kobi, WNRW/WLGX: Restaurant owner because I love to eat! Java Joel, WAKS: A radio-themed brew pub with radio-oriented dishes on the menu- Marconi & Cheese anyone??? HAAAA! Jeff Hurley, WLAN: Run my own sports bar. But you can’t come in if I hate your team. Also, I get to leave early so I can be in bed at a decent hour. And we won’t serve ‘boneless wings’. Eat your wings like a man, you wimp. Boneless wings are just glorified chicken nuggets. Valentine, WBHT: A boat rental place in Key West. Even if I only get one customer a day, I’m still taking the boats out!
Matt Talluto, WBYR: Concert production company. From lights, pyro, fog machines, lasers, etc. It’s my favorite thing about live shows. To design the visual part of a show. One of the reasons I love Pink Floyd and TSO concerts. And to imaging getting paid for that? That’d be awesome! |

Reid, KZZP: A tech reviewer on YouTube. All you get is cool free stuff. Mike Miller, WZFT: Own and operate an amusement park. R Dub! Z90: Own, produce and host a Travel TV series! Fish Boy, WKRZ: I would like to create an app that would develop and improve upon socialization for autistic children. Before radio I worked as a Therapeutic Staff Support worker in the local educational system and worked specifically with autism. I saw that some of the more higher functioning children had genuine struggles in life with socialization. I witnessed these struggles firsthand and I actually have an idea as to how to help them assimilate better.
Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: I’d run one of those ATV tours in Hawaii. Skip Kelly, WKSL: I would 100% be a travel/food TV show host. I just want to get paid an obscene amount of money to stay in luxury resorts and eat at amazing restaurants. Is that too much to ask? If so, I’ll just take the obscene money.
