Post Malone will perform a virtual reality concert for Meta in its “metaverse” later this month. Post Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience is described as “an immersive performance” that will debut on July 15, then loop three times in Meta’s Venues in Horizon Worlds starting at 6:00 pm PT. Also appearing will be collaborators Roddy Ricch, The Kid LAROI and Fleet Foxes.

“I’m pumped for the fans to have this VR experience of Twelve Carat Toothache,” says Post Malone. “We put so much work into this to make it as incredible as possible. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life.”

In an announcement, Meta describes the prerecorded performance as being “developed for VR first with set design, practical effects, and camera framing tailored for 180 display. Captured in 8K, this is the highest resolution and fidelity for a musical performance on the platform to date and the first major tentpole event in Horizon Worlds.” Additionally, a 2D version will also be broadcasted on Facebook Watch through Meta’s and Post Malone’s Facebook pages, as well as on Messenger and Instagram via Watch Together.
