Generally speaking, who/what is overrated, and who/what is underrated?

Nick Wize, WFLZ: Overrated: Zoom meetings. Underrated: In-person meetings. Jagger, KCHZ: The sitcom Ghosts on CBS is underrated. It’s really funny, hope it does well. It makes me laugh every week. I don’t think anything’s overrated right now.
R Dub, Z90/Magic 92.5: In-N-Out OVERRATED. Whataburger UNDERRATED! Java Joel, WHBC: Overrated: Barack Obama, Dave Grohl and callout research. Underrated: Cleveland, reverb, using your gut. Brian Mack, WXXL: Overrated: Nielsen Ratings. Underrated: Social Engagement and Impressions. Toby Knapp, WASH: The LA RAMS – Overrated like burning vacation days. The KC CHIEFS – Under-rated like burning sick days. |
Matt “MJ” Johnson, WPLW: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is overrated. He’s a bad actor. I could work out that much, shave my head, be buff, and smile all the time too. Underrated, DVR-ing a sporting event that goes late and watching it the next morning. That’s the way to view sports in 2022, especially if you’re on the east coast.
Jana Sutter, WXXL: Overrated: Social Media. When it’s used for good, and not evil, it can be a wonderful thing. But sometimes…you just want the noise to stop. Underrated: TRAVEL. It really does wonders for the soul, body and mind. Changes your scenery, changes your perspective. Orlando, WLLD: Overrated? The Weeknd. The music is good but falsetto ain’t never made anybody this damn famous without some dance moves or an instrument. Dude sounds like everybody else, at the karaoke, to me. Underrated? Ty Dolla $ign. Dude has crazy talented and needs that big record to blow.
Kobe, WUVR: Focusing on what your good at is underrated. Too many people spend too much time and effort on working on weaknesses, when it’s their strengths that set them apart, make those even better. Worrying about what others think is overrated. |
Valentine, WBHT: Chipotle and Joe Rogan are overrated. Getting a full 8 hours of sleep is underrated. Erik Bradley, WBBM: Underrated: Mariah Carey‘s songwriting. Lauv. Sam Hunt. Cody Johnson. Why Don’t We. Legends hoodies. Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar. Smart Water. Sleeping. Nobu. Bob Patrick, WXLK: White Claw is extremely overrated. Tastes like a cheap mixed drink that sat on bar for so long that the ice melted and watered it down. I’d rather eat the can in which it’s served. Take 5 candy is criminally underrated. Such a tremendous chocolate, peanut butter and pretzel delight. Should always be sold out, but it’s not, so I suppose I’m grateful that it’s so underrated. Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Underrated: Minor League baseball games. Overrated: Seltzers. Here’s looking at you, White Claw and Ranch Water. You taste terrible and you don’t get me drunk, so what’s the point? Lee Abrams mediavisions: Traditional radio research is overrated as it can suppress creative thinking. Internet radio’s potential is underrated as it’ll only grow as it matures. |
Frankie V, KSSX/KHTS: Overrated is thinking you don’t work on weekends in radio! Underrated is using weekends to get out and do events, meet listeners, etc! To continually beat our competing mediums we have to connect with our listeners. No better way than to be out on the streets!
Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson makes way too much money for his acting ability. Bobby Dalbec (son of Atlantic’s Timmy Dalbec) of the Boston Red Sox is underrated.
Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Overrated: being right. Underrated: the feeling you get when an unexpected song comes on the radio.Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
