What was your most memorable moment of 2021?
Brian Mack, WXXL: Getting married!
Java Joel, WHBC: Getting a new gig. Shout out to the Alpha Media USA/WHBC Canton team. Very happy to be here! Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Personally, getting to meet my niece’s daughter and nephew’s son after international travel bans were lifted. Professionally, seeing my co-workers in person after 18 months Mike O’Donnell, WKRZ: When I started coming back to the office full-time. It’s good to be back in the office again. Lee Abrams mediavisions: Personally, a trip I just returned from, to Monaco and France, hanging with Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) and Sean Compton (Nexstar). Professionally, the ongoing progress on big projects that were derailed by 2020. Jana Sutter, WXXL: Being asked to host for one of our national clients at the iHeart Music Festival. That was quite memorable!
Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Setting my personal marathon record back in September. |
Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: The year went by so fast; I don’t know if I remember anything! But probably when we did a Party Bus parade for my Rock station that caused all sorts of a stink here, so that was fun. Adam Rivers, WKCI: Getting engaged to the beautiful future Mrs. Nicole Rivers.
Rich Davis, KDWB: There wasn’t a ton that happened in 2021, so it probably has to be backstage at our Jingle Ball earlier this week. It was a huge event and highlight for us. Valentine, WBHT: Bringing the “HOT” brand back to 97.1. I grew up with it here as HOT, and it became a passion thing for me bringing that brand back to the market. Kobe, WUVR: 2021 has been a crazy year. Definitely my biggest moment both personally and professionally was moving to Richmond to start down the career path as a morning show host. Jagger, KCHZ: Moving to Kansas City! |
Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: My wife and I became “empty nesters” in 2021 with our son moving out to start his career…it’s eerily quiet now. Matt “MJ” Johnson, WPLW: Moving to Raleigh. Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Starting the Bex & Buster show is as good as it gets! R Dub, Z90/Magic 92.5: Reaching #1 6+ and staying there (XHRM). Josh Wolff, WAEB: It was a perfectly fine year, but nothing dramatically memorable about it. Beata Murphy, KIIS: Sitting on a Teams meeting with Tom Polman, John Ivey, and John Peake and being handed the reigns of the Legendary KIIS-FM. Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: Seeing the world through the eyes of our grandson Ethan! Continuing to watch the hit music process and the Music Cycle evolve with new music and new artists. Skywalker, WSPK: Getting my covid vaccine and feeling a sense of safety. Randi West, WRMF: It was all pretty memorable. I survived a global pandemic. |
