What are you most thankful for, and who is your favorite holiday movie character of all-time and their most endearing quality?
Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Radio for making so many of my dreams come true. Hands down, Clark Griswold!
Drew Heyman, WHYI: Family, friends and mentors. Buddy The Elf. Brian Mack, WXXL: It This time of year, Clark W. Griswold and his big heart, which occasionally outmaneuvers his brain (to steal a line from the man himself). Randi West, WRMF: I’m thankful for my family because nothing beyond that matters. Favorite holiday character? Fun fact: I kind of HATE all things Christmas, even Christmas movies. The only one I enjoy is Emmet Otter Jug Band Christmas. Jana Sutter, WXXL: The health of my family. I love Max the dog from The Grinch. Just a lovable, sweet little puppy. When he gets all happy at the end when the Grinch becomes nice, I cry every year. Rick Vaughn, KENZ: Most thankful for this view out my window. The mountains are snow-capped and the resorts start opening up this week! And I am thankful that my family is healthy, of course. Favorite holiday movie character: The Grinch. Fantastic smile. Orlando, WLLD: Most thankful for life. We’ve lost too many so every day is a blessing. Favorite holiday movie character is Elf. I love syrup too! Matt “MJ” Johnson, WPLW: I’m thankful for being an ACTUAL Program Director. I thoroughly enjoy Clark Griswold’s pure optimism in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Heather Deluca, WSJO: I’m thankful for family, friends, a job I love, a roof over my head, health insurance…ALL THE THINGS. I love Lucy in A Charlie Brown Christmas. She just tells it like it is. |

He took control of a situation without fear and handled business! Erik Bradley, B96: Most thankful for Matthew, Mariah, my family, friends and ever so grateful to continue to have my dream job. Favorite holiday movie character: I have two. Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation because #classic and Buddy The Elf, ‘cuz he just makes me smile! Rich Davis, KDWB: It’s been 24 years with iHeart now and I couldn’t be more thankful for all the years I’ve had with the company and all the opportunities I’ve had including becoming a Custom Format lead this year. I’m very blessed. I get to do what I love to do and I make a living doing it. For the character, I have to go with Will Ferrell as Buddy in Elf. You have to love that innocence, wonder, and excitement for everything Christmas. Kobe, WUVR: New opportunities for a new year, and a safe and happy family. The character is John McClane from Die Hard because yes, it’s a Christmas movie. Guy Zaopleon, Zapoleon Consulting: I know my buddy Jon Zellner has this as his all-time favorite movie and its #2 for me. So, my favorite character is Jimmy Stewart‘s George Bailey from It’s A Wonderful Life. George is loving, kind, and generous to a fault to the townspeople. When his Savings & Loan goes bankrupt and he’s facing mistaken criminal charges, God rescues him from a suicide attempt via a guardian angel knowing George is really a shining example of humanity who is just down on his luck. Great movie great character! Lee Abrams mediavisions: Randy Quaid. We all know lovable lowlifes like him that emerge during the holidays. Josh Wolff, WAEB: I’m happy, healthy, and we have a great team in Allentown consistently achieving #1 ratings. Clark Griswold, he’s hilarious in that movie. Joey Brooks, WKSS: First and foremost, I’m thankful for my family, great wife and a couple of great daughters. Clark Griswold! |

I’m thankful I’m alive and kicking like that Simple Minds song says. Fave Christmas Character? Well, anyone who played Santa since I get to wear the suit at this time of the year… but my personal fave is Bruce Willis. Yippie Kay Yay, Motherf******* as! Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Always most thankful for my family, and hands down, George Bailey from It’s A Wonderful Life is still the greatest movie character of all time. Seventy-five years later, he has all the attributes anyone would want…a man with high aspirations but loves his family and friends more than anything else. Bob Patrick, WXLK: I’m thankful for my fiancé and her daughter. I’d be lost in this world without them. My favorite holiday characters are Ralphie Parker and Buddy the Elf. I refuse to pick only one as they’re both iconic characters that will be a part of the Holiday season forever. Rod Phillips, iHeartMedia: Most thankful to still be here to enjoy it all. I have to appreciate old man Ebenezer Scrooge, even he found the Christmas magic, eventually! Fish, WKRZ: Thankful for my health (things could be a lot worse), and for having a gig. Ralphie from A Christmas Story because it reminds me of better times. |
