Megan Thee Stallion was the top winner on Sunday night at the 2021 BET Awards with four in total. Megan won for Best Female Hip Hop Artist; Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for “WAP,” her team-up with Cardi B; and the Viewer’s Choice award for “Savage,” her collaboration with Beyoncé. Megan won Best Female Hip Hop Artist and Viewer’s Choice in 2020 as well.

Cardi B won twice for sharing her awards for “WAP” with Megan, but made headlines primarily for revealing she is pregnant for the second time with her husband Offset. Cardi appeared onstage with Offset and his group Migos in an outfit revealing her pregnant body. Cardi announced her first child during her performance on Saturday Night Live in 2018.

Bruno Mars won two BET Awards thanks to Silk Sonic, his new collaboration with Anderson .Paak. Silk Sonic won for Best Group and Mars shared Video Director of the Year with Florent Dechard for co-directing Silk Sonic’s clip for their hit “Leave the Door Open.”

Jazmine Sullivan won Album of the Year for Heaux Tales. Queen Latifah was honored with BET’s Lifetime Achievement Award as well.

Other notable performers throughout the night included Lil Nas X, Roddy Ricch, Tyler, the Creator, Da Baby and H.E.R., as well as Megan Thee Stallion. There was also an all-star tribute to the late DMX featuring Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz and more.
