If there was a unified effort by all radio groups to create pro-radio slogans to support the medium, what suggestions would you have?

Buster Satterfield, WIOQ: Listen to us… we’ll always be FREE!

Mike “OD” O’Donnell, WKRZ:  Live & Local…By air, by stream and on your phone!

Jana Sutter, WXXL: Always free, always local!

Matt Johnson, WPLW: Always free, always on!

Jonathan Shuford, WRVW: Just a bunch of friends hanging out playing music.

Lee Abrams MediaVisions: I would avoid slogans and pro-radio campaigns. The critical thing is for individual stations to deliver 2021 radio, and things will fix themselves. Pro radio slogans will come off as hype, possibly even BS.

Java Joel, Javajoelmurphy@gmail.com: “Come back. We’re sorry and we won’t do it again. We promise!”

Mikey V, Kiss 108: Connecting to your city!

Kevin Kash, WWEG/WIYY: Radio – wherever you are, we are. Radio – Always yours, always free.

Jagger, KCHZ: Always here for you!

Rich Davis, KDWB: Your audio entertainment companion for the hits!

Josh Wolff, WAEB: You’re a reliable local companion with exclusive artist access.

Bartel, WKTU: Take us with you everywhere… We’re FREE!

Dom Theodore, Radio Animal Media Strategies: Still free!

Todd Lyons, KATS: “And just how much are you paying for a monthly subscription for our fine, quality entertainment?” “Radio – cutting the cord before it was cool!”

Max Volume, KOZZ: No subscription, no login, and it comes out of the sky! For free!

Kobe, WZNE
: Radio, we’re glad you’re hear.

Jon Zellner, iHeartMedia: Audio entertainment…always on and always free.

Guy Zapoleon, Zapoleon Consulting: A few selling points. Radio is still the most consumed content platform according to Nielsen and Edison Research. Nielson says when you combine all demos, radio is still the most popular form of media in America. Edison Research says terrestrial radio accounts for 39% of audio consumption among those 13+, compared to 18% clocked by streaming services, second among all audio segments, including podcasts, satellite radio and owned music. Radio has a very powerful connection especially in the 25-54 cell where it’s #1 with an amazing 90% reach in that demo. I’d also talk about local radio’s ability and power to move customers to local client locations.

Buzz Knight, Buzz Knight Media: We are the original social media.

Valentine, WBHT: Less polarizing than politics!  Better than a vaccine!

Reed Phillips, @ReedPhillipsRadio:
Radio: Over 120 years of originality. Radio: Building superstars for EVERY generation.

Next Week’s Question Of The Week:
When the pandemic is behind us and we’re back to life as we knew it, what are the top few things, professionally and personally, you’re looking forward to do the most?
