Janelle Monáe
Janelle Monáe will release her anticipated third album, Dirty Computer, on April 27. The musician/actress released two new songs, “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane,” along with their accompanying videos. Dirty Computer is described as an “Emotion Picture” with a narrative film to go with the album itself.
Dua Lipa and Stormzy were the big winners at Wednesday’s Brit Awards in London. Stormzy, a grime artist, won two awards including an upset over Ed Sheeran for Best Album. Dua Lipa won for British Breakthrough Act and British Female Solo Artist. Sheeran did win the Global Success prize. Foo Fighters, Gorillaz and Kendrick Lamar were among the winners as well.
Beale Street Music Festival is the latest event to unveil its lineup. Set for May 4-6 in Memphis, TN, the festival is led by Jack White, Queens of the Stone Age, Erykah Badu and David Byrne. Also on board are Post Malone, Incubus, Odesza, Logic, Alanis Morissette, Tyler the Creator, Cake, Vance Joy, The Flaming Lips and many more.
