iHeartMedia has announced that Tamo has been named Midday Personality for ALT 104.9/St. Louis and ALT 106.3/Des Moines effective immediately. She will report to Dustin Fletcher, Director of Alternative Rock Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region and A.J., Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia’s St. Louis Region.
“No one can connect with an audience quite like Tamo,” Fletcher said. “Her unique perspective and creativity make her a super star on and off the air. Plus, we needed 25 percent more crazy, so she was our obvious first call.”
Tamo has over 13 years of experience in radio and currently serves as Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and mid-day host at WEND-FM in Charlotte, NC. From 2013 to 2017, she went from being a No. 1 rated CHR personality to hosting her own morning show on WXZX in Columbus, OH. She also previously served as Music Director and PM Drive Host for WRXL in Richmond, VA. Her extensive programming background also includes stations in Norfolk, VA; Austin, TX; Philadelphia, PA.
