The 2017 BET Hip-Hop Awards aired last night on the network, with Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B and DJ Khaled cleaning up. Lamar won Album of the Year for DAMN., Best Hip-Hop Video for “Humble,” Hot Ticket Performer and Lyricist of the Year. Newcomer Cardi B was unsurprisingly named Best New Hip-Hop Artist while her smash “Bodak Yellow” won for Single of the Year. She was also named Hustler of the Year and won Best Mixtape for Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2. DJ Khaled not only hosted the awards show, he won for Best Collaboration, Duo or Group with “Wild Thoughts,” which featured Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. He was also named DJ of the Year and MVP of the Year.
However, Eminem stole the show with a pre-recorded performance taking aim at Donald Trump. The stark, intense, 4+ minute appearance was filmed October 6 in a Detroit parking garage, with references to Colin Kaepernick, the recent hurricanes and much more. Em also flips off anyone who considers themselves a fan of his and supports Trump. You can watch the entire performance below:
