Tragedy has struck Sin City with 58 people reported dead and more than 500 injured after a gunman opened fire at Route 91 Harverst, a Country music festival in Las Vegas. The police identified the gunman, who took aim from 32nd floor at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, as 64-year old Nevada resident Steven Paddock.
The shooting occurred during a set by Country superstar Jason Aldean, who later released a statement saying via Instagram saying, “Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.”
The police later found Paddock dead in his room at the hotel along with 20 rifles, reports The New York Times.
