Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters have earned the second #1 album of their career with Concrete and Gold. The band’s newest record earned 127,000 equivalent album units according to Nielsen Music‘s data, 120,000 of which were traditional album sales. The Foos last had the #1 album in the country back in 2011 with Wasting Light.
Most of the Billboard 200’s top ten remained static, with Lil Uzi Vert at #2, Thomas Rhett at #3, Kendrick Lamar at #4 and XXXTentacion at #5. Khalid moves to #6 with American Teeb.
South Korean boy band BTS makes an impressive splash in the U.S. with Love Yourself: Her debuting at #7. According to Billboard, BTS earned the highest-charting album ever by a K-pop group in the States. The previous record was also held by BTS, whose album Wings debuted at #26 in 2016.
The top ten is rounded out with Imagine Dragons at #8, Country act Big & Rich debuting at #9 with Did It for the Party and Post Malone at #10.
