Justin Bieber has surprisingly canceled the rest of his upcoming Purpose world tour, which including a number of North American stadium gigs. Bieber’s next tour date was scheduled for July 29 in Arlington, TX with dates in Pasadena; Denver; Minneapolis; East Rutherford, NJ; Foxborough, MA and Toronto lined up into early September. He was then slated to perform in Tokyo, Hong Kong, The Philippines and Singapore in the fall.
A statement from Bieber’s camp reads, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run. However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

JAY-Z‘s 4:44 spends a second week atop the Billboard 200 chart. The rap superstar’s latest album earned another 87,000 album equivalent units. Kendrick Lamar is at #2 with DAMN. The only top ten debut this week comes from French Montana and his sophomore release Jungle Rules at #3. DJ Khaled is at #4 with Grateful followed by 21 Savage‘s Issa Album at #5. The rest of the Billboard 200’s top ten is filled out with Ed Sheeran (#6), Imagine Dragons (#7), the Moana soundtrack (#8), Khalid (#9) and Bruno Mars (#10).

Riding on the success of their hit single “Feel It Still,” Portugal. The Man has announced a fall headlining tour. The dates begin on October 2 in Bloomington, IL with new shows announced up to October 27 in Charlotte, NC. The band is already on tour in North America up to early September, with European shows in September.

Alt-rockers Silversun Pickups will hit the road this fall on a headlining tour of North America. The trek kicks off in Santa Cruz, CA on October 21 and runs up to November 19 in Philadelphia. Minus the Bear will open most dates.
