Sam Selolwane

Sam Selolwane has been promoted to Senior Vice President Urban Promotion, RCA Records.  Selolwane recently held the title of Vice President, Urban Promotion, RCA Records.  Selolwane will continue to report to Geo Bivins, Executive Vice President, Urban Promotion and will remain in the company’s New York headquarters.

Selolwane started her career as a radio programmer and on air personality, later transitioning to promotion executive 12 years ago with Jive/RCA Records/Sony.  Just 5 years into her label tenure, she was named National Urban Promotion “Executive of the Year” by industry organization Street Information Network and played an intricate role in launching the radio careers of Chris Brown and T-Pain, both of which garnered #1 and Top 10 singles on their debut efforts.

As Vice President of Urban Promotion, RCA Records, Selolwane has developed successful national radio campaigns for a bevy of artist on the RCA roster landing RCA as the #1 UAC Label and #3 Urban Mainstream label in 2014. She was honored as one of ASCAP’s “Women Behind The Music” in 2014, while simultaneously keeping Usher, Alicia Keys, Charlie Wilson, Tinashe, Bryson Tiller, R.Kelly, Ro James, Kid Ink, Miguel, and more at the top of the urban music charts.

In 2015, Sam was named as one of Billboard Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40: Music’s Top Young Power Player.
