Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and The Weeknd will perform at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The annual TV special will tape November 30 in Paris and then air December 5 on CBS.
Twenty One Pilots will release a vinyl-only triple live album later this month across three picture discs. Titled Blurryface Live, it was recorded October 18 in Oakland and will arrive on November 25.
SiriusXM will launch Bon Jovi Radio, a limited-run channel dedicated to the band’s music. The exclusive channel will culminate with a private performance by Bon Jovi at a secret location in Miami on December 3. The special, invitation-only show for SiriusXM will feature Bon Jovi performing songs from their entire career, including music from their new album This House Is Not For Sale. “We’ve played this album for four audiences so far and the response has been really gratifying,” said Jon Bon Jovi. “These songs are our real stories set to music and they’ve been welcomed as instant classics. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play an intimate set in Miami before SiriusXM subscribers where we will mix in these new songs with our hits before we hit the road on tour next February and to hearing these songs on Bon Jovi Radio.”
“Before they embark on their upcoming arena tour next year, Bon Jovi will perform a special, intimate concert just for SiriusXM in Miami. Jon Bon Jovi, an artist who is still writing rock and roll history, is sure to offer our audience of nationwide listeners a memorable and exceptional live broadcast,” said Scott Greenstein, President/Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM.
Dave Matthews will headline a benefit concert supporting the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and their fight against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The concert is set for November 27 in Washington, DC at DAR Constitution Hall and more artists are expected to join the lineup. In a statement, Matthews said, “How can we continue to allow oil money to dictate our environmental and social policies? The people of Standing Rock, and those who are supporting them, are standing up for their children and all of our children. We are letting the Dakota pipeline silence their voices. Not only are they desecrating sacred lands, but they also threaten to poison the Missouri River.”
Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has released a number of side projects over the years but next week he will put out his first album entirely under his own name. KOTA is simply credited to Hawkins and the six-track release is due out November 11.
