iHeartMedia announced today that Chuck Peterson has been elevated to Area President for the Winchester, Harrisonburg and Roanoke-Lynchburg markets, effective immediately. Peterson’s area encompasses sixteen news, talk, sports and music format stations.
As Area President, Peterson will be responsible for leveraging iHeartMedia Winchester, Harrisonburg and Roanoke-Lynchburg’s radio station brands and assets to provide quality programming as well as new revenue growth opportunities. Peterson will report to Dave Carwile, President of iHeartMedia’s Virginia/Carolina Region.

Peterson is promoted to Area President after serving as Market President for the Winchester and Harrisonburg markets. He began his career at WFTR in Front Royal and is a graduate of American University and William & Mary Law School.
