Kendrick Lamar‘s newest album DAMN. is at #1 for its second week on the Billboard 200. It earned another 238,000 equivalent album units which Billboard notes has been primarily driven by streaming. However, even though overall album units fell 61 percent in week two for DAMN., it still was the fourth-largest week for an album thus far in 2017 and the largest for a release that wasn’t in its first week on the charts.
Drake is at #2 with More Life, followed by ÷ from Ed Sheeran at #3. The first debut of the week comes from veteran rock band Incubus and their new album 8. It is the group’s first full-length album since 2011. At #5 is Bruno Mars with 24K Magic, followed by The Chainsmokers at #6 and the Moana soundtrack at #7.
The second top ten debut this week comes from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2: Awesome Mix Vol. 2 soundtrack at #8. The collection of tracks, mostly from the ’70s, is the sequel to the hit soundtrack to the first film back in 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 is in theaters this Friday.
The Billboard 200 is rounded out with Future‘s eponymous record at #9 and The Weeknd‘s Starboy at #10.
